Welcome to SoberOut! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SoberOut platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using SoberOut, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

SoberOut is a community platform designed to support individuals in their recovery journey. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and privacy-respecting environment.

By creating an account or using SoberOut, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• You will use the Service in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws
• You understand that SoberOut is a peer support platform, not a medical provider

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

SoberOut is built on mutual respect and support. You agree NOT to:

• Harass, bully, or intimidate other members
• Share content that promotes substance abuse or self-harm
• Post misleading health or medical advice
• Share personal information of others without consent
• Use the platform for spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the Service

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban at our discretion.

SoberOut offers free and paid subscription tiers:

• Free Tier: Core features at no cost
• Premium Tier: Enhanced features for $9.99/month
• Supporter Tier: All features plus priority support for $19.99/month

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service availability
• The accuracy or completeness of user-generated content
• Specific outcomes from using the platform
• The qualifications or credentials of other community members

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content: The SoberOut name, logo, and original content are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant SoberOut a non-exclusive license to display and distribute your content within the Service. You may delete your content at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoberOut and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
